I use figurative and abstract elements combined to produce work based on emotion, secrets, and inner stories, in oil pastel and oil paint. I am drawn to the power and beauty of the masculine form and feel driven to express poetic visions of modern life, how advancements in living conditions have made us sadder and more lonely, exploring the world in which we live - not much physically, but emotionally and spiritually. This is reflected in my current male nude series, "In My Mind", which features interpretations of the figure from within the mind of the subject.
