Short Description of what you do
Art is creation, it’s in the rustling trees, it’s blowing in the breeze, it’s in the songs we sing, it’s in everything. I am proud of my art because it has a voice. It speaks to me, it reveals my heart, my soul. My art is my music, my books, my history and the history of others. My art speaks to others too, it comforts and confronts, challenges and questions, it demands all and nothing. When you look at my art, what do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel? Art is creation. Art is freedom.

BA hons QTS English Literature and Theatre Studies
Self-taught artist
I was a teacher for 27 years. When I was commissioned to paint for a hotel, my life changed. I retired from teaching to concentrate on becoming a full time artist. When I am not painting, I am training for triathlons. Having completed a full ironman distance triathlon in 2018, I believe anything is possible. I believe, now, me being an artist is possible.

Commissions for hotels, cafes, offices most welcome. I mainly use acrylic on canvas.
