I am an artist and oil painter producing high quality portraits and landscapes.
Long Description of what you do
A well established Northampton based artist, my portraits and figurative work is strongly influenced by the classical atelier techniques of Caravaggio, Velazquez and Singer-Sargent. My work is developed from my extensive use of life drawing sketches, my own imagination and digital media, and this includes my landscape paintings, where I focus strongly on the light, colours and shapes of the English countryside.
Working mainly in oils, I also use acrylics and charcoal for my art and paintings. I am President of the Northampton Town and County Art Society, and I am available for commissions whether in oils, acrylics or pencil/charcoal drawings.
