What do you do?
Short Description of what you do
I work mainly in acrylic but also oil and watercolour. I take on many commissions per year ranging from pet portraits to client visions brought to life through a brief description. My style is mostly figurative but I can also interpret other styles depending on client wishes and love taking on a challenge. I am particularly keen on animal portraits and have had several horse and dog paintings commissioned. I also love landscapes, the more dramatic the better.
Long Description of what you do
I live and work in the beautiful South Northamptonshire countryside with a view of the River Nene and fields around me. I find this very inspirational and feel very fortunate to have such lovely surroundings while I create. I originally studied in Cornwall under the tutelage of Rod Walker, Jason Wason and the late Colin Scott among others. I particularly love the impasto style of working - Fred Yates is one of my favourite artists. I mostly work in acrylics but can also do commissions in oils or watercolour. I have had works shown in galleries in the county and also in the Isle of Man where I lived until recently.
