Vitreus Art opened their new gallery on December 11th 2014, bringing a much-needed creative hub to the area, and opportunities to exhibit for the best local artists.
As well as displaying stained glass art by owners Jenny Timms & Mike Caddy, the gallery hosts a frequently changing selection of affordable work by local artists too.
The diverse work currently on display includes a selection of print-making, watercolours, acrylics, fused and stained glass, ceramics, photography and jewellery, from new and established artists.
Alongside the gallery Mike and Jenny have also set up a great creative workshop space – not just for themselves, but also for other crafty or artistic people to use.
The couple are now running workshops in stained glass, glass appliqué, encaustic wax art, mixed media, painting and drawing for beginners, textile sculpture, printing without a press and more.
