My career as an artist started when I was 4 or 5, drawing all over my parents album covers, I would spend hours sketching, copying and then drawing from observation. When I left school, there was no hesitation I wanted to pursue a career in art. I went on to gain a BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design at Bedford College, and a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art Painting at Loughborough University. I have worked as a freelance artist educator since, enjoying teaching art to all age ranges. In Primary I have run after school art workshops and clubs, in Secondary I have taught art at GCSE Level as well as working as Artist in Residence. My specialist teaching qualification is Higher Education (Learning and Teaching in Higher Education PGCert Level 7), and I hold an enhanced DBS. I am qualified in Mental Health Problems Level 2, in view of incorporating what Ive learned into my classes. My specialist subject matter is acrylic painting and mixed media.
